Parental Bias

Time is flying when you’re parenting a newborn. You have a distant clue of what’s going on out there in the rest world, but really all you are focused on is your small little family. Australia may have been hit by the economic downturn, the swine flu may have hit South Australia, and autumn may have hit Adelaide with some desperately needed rain …. But it all loses its relevance when you see your little one smiling at you.

Our lives revolve around feed, sleep play, cry, pee and poo. Every little detail is noticed with great care and appreciation. Nora is making progress in many different ways. For starters: she is steadily gaining weight, length and volume. Pretty soon her cry can be heard around the block ;-) Also, she smiles more and more. Especially the first morning smile is a big reward for the early wake up. And very important: our little girl is sleeping in her own cot for more than a week now. That’s in her own room, without mum and dad close by. Pretty clever for a two month old, don’t you think? We might be biased like most new parent are, but have the impression that Nora is a smart little girl. She picks up new routines very quickly, and explores her own little world with great interest.

Another typical point of parental bias is that we think she is a little beauty. The professional photo shoot we took at Mothersday might give you the same impression. Just follow the link to www.yourbestpicture.com.au and type on the right hand side (view your personal page) the code nora2103. Browse through the pictures and let us know your opinion. Are we biased to think that she’s a cute little gorgeous?

You would be fools NOT to think that she is the most beautiful baby in world.

Honestly, sometimes babies in their first 10 weeks are not that pretty, but this " Australian Next Top Model" seems to be practicing for a world famous career as a top model already!!

It's so cute to see you as parents.. you guys have this amazing twinkle in your eyes on ALL the pics!

Can't wait to see your lil' beauty!
